On the occasion of the historic March 7th day celebration today, people from all walks of life of Moulvibazar district paid their respects by placing wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best Bengali of a thousand years, the architect of independent Bangladesh, the father of the nation. Meanwhile, the District Commissioner, Moulvibazar Mir Nahid Ahsan and all the officials of the district administration paid tribute by placing wreaths on the portrait of the Father of the Nation.

Wreath after the dedication, a colorful “Joy Bangla Procession” was organized by the District Administration, Moulvibazar. The procession started from the Bangabandhu Mural, Moulvibazar Government High School grounds and ended at the District Shilpakala Academy. There are discussions held by the district administration, Moulvibazar, award distribution of various competitions and cultural programs held Deputy Commissioner Mir Ahsan was present as the chief guest in the event organized under the chairmanship of Moulvibazar-3 Constituency Member of Parliament Neshar Ahmad. Special guests were present- Reserved Women’s Constituency-336, Member of Parliament Syeda Zohra Alauddin, District Superintendent of Police, Moulvibazar Mohammad Zakaria, Moulvibazar Zilla Parishad Chairman Alhaj Michbahur Rahman, Moulvibazar Municipality Mayor Md Fazlur Rahman, Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Kamal Hossain, Acting President of Canada Awami League Golam Muhibur Rahman, local public representatives and dignitaries.
