National Voter’s Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj with the motto “I will vote according to the rules, I will vote for those who are eligible”.On Thursday (March 2, 2023) at 10.00 am, Chapainawabganj district administration and district election office organized auspicious inauguration, colorful rally discussion meeting and voter service activities to celebrate the day. On the occasion of the day, under the chairmanship of Chapainawabganj District Commissioner AKM Ghaliv Khan, Honorable Member of Parliament Chapainawabganj-3 (Sadar) Abdul Odud Biswas spoke as the chief guest. Honorable Member of Parliament Parliamentary Constituency (338) Ferdous Islam JC, District Additional Superintendent of Police Abul Kalam Sahid, District Council Chairman Alhaj Ruhul Amin were present as special guests. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Mahbub Ul Islam, Upazila Executive Officer Roshan Ali, District Election Officer Motawakkil Rahman, Sadar Upazila Election Officer Mahbub Kabir, Chapainawabganj LGED Executive Officer Mozahar Ali Pramanik, Sadar Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Nasreen Akhtar, Model Press Club were present. President Akhtaruzzaman and officials of the District Election Office were present.
As a part of the program, the Chief Guest Hon’ble Member of Parliament Abdul Odud Biswas inaugurated the day by blowing balloons in front of the district administration office. After that, a rally started from Chapainawabganj District Commissioner’s office and ended at the same place at the end of the important road circuit of the district city. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the district administration. After the meeting, voter service activities were conducted at the district election office.
