23rd Superintendent of Police Jaipurhat 1st Fide Standard Rating International Chess Tournament (Bilo 2000) prize distribution and closing ceremony was held. On Saturday (March 27) evening, prize distribution and closing ceremony was held at Police Line Drillshed organized by District Police and in collaboration with District Sports Association. District Superintendent of Police and Vice President of District Sports Association Mohammad Noore Alam presided over the function as chief guest was DIG Abdul Baten of Police Rajshahi Range. Deputy Commissioner and President of District Sports Association Salehin Tanveer Gazi, Chairman of Zilla Parishad Principal Khaja Samchul Alam, Mayor of Joypurhat Mostafizur Rahman Mostak and Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation Masudur Rahman Mallik Dipu were special guests. According to related sources, about 110 chess players from Bangladesh and India participated in the two-day chess tournament. In the game, AB Bappi champion from Khulna and 1st runner-up Soham Dey from India, 2nd runner-up Ronak Pathan, 3rd runner-up Abhik Sarkar from Mymonsingh and the best 26 players presented the cup and goal medals to the best 26 players.
