Rajapur Jhalkathi of the students of Galua Union Secondary School have protested against the construction of road and construction materials on the playground of the school. Students protested in the school grounds on Thursday (March 9) afternoon. At this time, the locals including the parents of the students also expressed their anger. The students of Galua Union Secondary School said that the headmaster of Galua Durgapur Government Primary School No. 45 has blocked our only playground, due to which our only playground has become smaller. Apart from this, we are often injured due to the construction materials of the property building being left by the neighboring people day after day in the field. At this time, the students protested and said that we don’t want unnecessary roads, we want playgrounds. Headmaster of Galua Union Secondary School ABM Riyadul Alam said that the playground has become a little smaller due to the construction of a road by the headmaster of No. 45 Galua Durgapur Government Primary School on the south side of the playground. We were verbally barring him while constructing the road, but did not understand the matter as the two schools land together. After measuring, we found that the road has been constructed using some part of our school land. Later we call a meeting of the managing committee and later the road will be removed when the boundaries of the school are decided. No. 45 Galua Durgapur Government Primary School Headmaster Md. Mohsin Khan said that Jehuto is the playground of two schools at the same time. So we repaired and constructed the road in my school with the money allocated from the slip. No one stopped me during road construction. Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Monibur Rahman said, I will try to solve the matter by talking to the headmaster of Galua Durgapur Government Primary School No. 45. At this time, the students and parents of Galua Union Secondary School demanded to remove unnecessary roads and construction materials from the playground and make the only playground suitable for playing.
