RAB-11 has arrested 24 active members of Passport Dalal Gang, including Shakeel Ahmed Sujan, from different areas of Kotyali Model Police Station in Comilla.
Passport, delivery slip, national identity card, mobile phone, various seals, pads, cash and passport related documents were recovered.
This information was given by RAB in a press release signed by Major Mohammad Sakib Hossain, Deputy Director of CPC-2 of RAB-11 on Monday (March 06) morning.
According to RAB, a team of RAB-11 Comilla started a shadow investigation and increased intelligence activities with the aim of arresting the Dalal gang red-handed, subject to verification of the allegations of the victims.
Later, on the basis of information received from intelligence sources, special operations were conducted in various areas of Kotyali Model Police Station of Comilla district on Sunday. In the operation, they arrested a total of 24 active members including the mastermind of the passport dalal gang.
The arrested are: Shakil Ahmed Sujan of Shaktala village of Sadar Dakshin Model Police Station of Comilla District, Md Shahadat Hossain of Bagichagaon village of Kotyali Model Police Station, Md Sharif, Md Masuk, Md Likon Khan, Dalim Sarkar, Md Irfan, Md Shawkat Ali, Md Ojaer of Noapara village of the same police station. Hossain Sakib, Md Delwar Hossain Roman of New Chowdhury Para of the same police station.
Besides, Abdur Rahim of Kuruil village of Muradnagar thana, Ishan Ahmed Rabbi of Morapara village of Kotyali model police station, Mujibur Rahman of Magadhara village of Sandwip police station of Chittagong district, Md. Saiful Islam of Pir Jatrapur village of Comilla Burichong police station, Md. Shafi of Kotyali model police station of the same district, son of Md. Azhar of the same village. Tuhin, Md. Ruhul Amin Rubel of Brijpara village of Matiranga police station of Khagrachari district.
Md. Mazharul Islam of Chhotara village of Kotyali Model Police Station of Comilla District, Abdul Hannan Babul of Payat Village of Burichong Police Station of the same district, Hashibul Hasan Jimi of the same village, Shikarpur Tanjid Hasan of the same Police Station, Md. Imrul Hasan of Wahedpur Village of Debidwar Police Station of the same district, Md. of Pir Jatrapur Village of Comilla Burichong Police Station. Abul Kalam Azad, Md. Abdul Qayyum of Kalikapur Village, Kotyali Model Police Station, Comilla District.
Meanwhile, 20 passports, 108 delivery slips, 29 national identity cards, a mobile set, 7 different seals, 1 pad, 43 thousand taka in cash and various documents related to passports were recovered from the custody of the brokers.
RAB has confirmed in a press release that legal action has been taken against the arrested accused in Kotyali Model Police Station of Comilla.
