The upgradation of Comilla’s Barura Upazila Health Complex from 31 beds to 50 beds has been auspiciously inaugurated. Nachimul Alam Chowdhury Nazrul, Member of Parliament of Comilla-8 (Barura) Constituency, inaugurated the upgradation of 50 beds at 11 am on Saturday, March 18. Barura Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohel presided over the discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the auspicious opening of the upgradation of Barura Upazila Health Complex from 31 beds to 50 beds, Naschimul Alam Chowdhury Nazrul MP was present as the chief guest, Dr. Nachima Akhtar, Civil Surgeon, Comilla, was also present as special guest Barura Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) Md. Then everyone who came to the ceremony stood up and sang along to the National Anthem. Barura Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohail said that since joining the Barura Upazila Health Complex, the quality of services and the range of services of Barura Upazila Health Complex have increased and the Barura Upazila Health Complex has become a beautiful and clean upazila health complex. Comilla District Civil Surgeon Dr. Nachima Akhtar in her speech recalled the contribution of everyone behind the upgradation of Barura Upazila Health Complex from 31 beds to 50 beds. He expressed hope that it will establish itself as a more public-oriented health service institution. In his speech, the chief guest praised the current environment, cleanliness and public-oriented services and various activities of Barura Upazila Health Complex. UHFPO of Barura Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohel, thanked the doctors, nurses, staff and all concerned for providing good service to the residents of Barura Upazila Health Complex. President Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohail Barura Upazila Health Complex by providing a new building, a new ambulance along with a 15-bed Covid isolation center with central oxygen line, an ICU cabin, 11 oxygen concentrators in the Barura Upazila Health Complex during the Covid period, Barura Upazila Health Complex is in its present position. Naschimul Alam Chowdhury expressed his gratitude to Nazrul MP for contributing in various ways. He also said that development is an ongoing process behind the development of Barura Upazila Health Complex, former Civil Surgeon of Comilla District Dr. Md.
