Prajanm Palli Library and Cultural Museum was inaugurated at Barura, Comilla on the 103rd birthday of the Father of the Nation and National Children’s Day. Md. Abdul Haque, managing director of Hawkes Bay Automobiles Limited and founder of Shaher Banu Ideal School and College, was present as the chief guest at the inauguration of Prajanm Palli Library under the chairmanship of President of Barura Upazila Press Club and daily Jayzaidin Barura correspondent Mohammad Masud Majumdar at 3 pm on March 17. Barura Model School and College Principal Engineer Md. Monir Hossain spoke as special guests on the occasion as special guests were Astha Project Advisor Dr. Usha Rani Burman, Astha Project Advisor Riaz Mahmud, BCIC Former General Manager Farukul Islam, Alor Path Kalyan Sansthan Executive Director Shamim Ara. Md. Rezaunul Haque, program manager of Alor Path Kalyan Organization, Sultana. Tuhin Ahmed Prajanm, director of Prajanm Shilpa Sahitya and Sanskultur Academy, delivered the welcome address on the occasion. In the day-long event, drawing competition, recitation, Nakshi Kantha sewing training and distribution of materials among self-reliance women and interesting cultural programs were organized with the participation of school and college students.
In the event, a check of Tk 50,000 was handed over by Astha Project as a donation to Tuhin Ahmed, director of Prajanm Shilpa Sahitya and Sanskultur Academy.
