The Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested four drug traffickers along with 30 liters of domestic liquor in a drive in the Hazampara area of ​​Baharchara union in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar. The Coast Guard Outpost Baharchara conducted the special operation on Monday (July 27) at around 9 pm based on a secret tip-off. Coast Guard sources said that during the operation, a suspicious easy bike was searched in the Hazampara area and 30 liters of domestic liquor worth about Tk 27,000 was recovered. During this time, an easy bike used for drug transportation, three mobile phones, 1,440 taka in cash were seized and four drug dealers were arrested. The seized evidence along with the arrested persons have been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action. In a press release signed by Bangladesh Coast Guard Eastern Zone Media Officer Lieutenant Commander BN Sumon Al Mukit, such operations of the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue in the future to prevent the terrible spread of drugs.
