Masum Talukder: A prayer and iftar mahfil was held today at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), Khamarbari, Dhaka under the initiative of Bagerhat Officers Forum. In his speech, the President of the Forum, Dr. Mohammad Faridul Islam, Secretary (Retd.), said that we will all unite and provide all-out support to the activities of the new government to accelerate the overall development and progress of the country.
Mr. Mohammad Mashiur Rahman, Secretary (Retd.) was present as the Chief Advisor at the event. Also present were former Ambassador and Secretary Mr. Sheikh Sekender Ali, Senior Consultant (Surgery) Professor S. M. Abu Zafar, former Judge Md. Ikhtiar Islam Mallick, retired Major (Retd.) Md. Moniruzzaman, Mr. K. K. Mandal and other dignitaries from various levels of Bagerhat district.
Also present were BNP nominated candidate for Bagerhat-1 parliamentary constituency Kapil Krishna and candidate for Bagerhat-4 parliamentary constituency Somnath De. The current government’s Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, State Minister for Environment, and the current IGP of Police expressed their sincere regret for not being able to attend today’s event due to many other state programs. They welcomed today’s Bagerhat Officers Forum.
All those present at the event wished for the all-round development, progress, and peace and prosperity of the country and the nation in their speeches. Along with this, special prayers were offered for the welfare, unity, and prosperity of the country by realizing the sacred greatness of Ramadan.
