The victim expatriate Ahid Mia has filed a written complaint with Kamalganj police station alleging an attempt to occupy land of his home, cutting trees and threatening to kill him in Paschim Kalenga village of Rahimpur Union No. 1 of Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar. In the complaint, he mentioned that he has been living in Paschim Kalenga village with his family members for more than 50 years. Recently, Haru Mia, Hashem Mia, Azad Hossain Zakir, Monir Hossain Ganga of the same village tried to forcibly occupy a part of his land. At that time, some valuable trees on the boundary of the land were cut down and an attempt was made to occupy the land by building a bamboo fence. The victim expatriate Ahid Mia said that during his long stay in exile, the mentioned neighbors tried to forcibly occupy various places owned by him. Although the matter has been tried to be resolved locally several times, no permanent solution has been found. Rather, the accused are threatening him and his family with various types of intimidation and death threats. Although the matter has been informed to the local UP member several times, he and the opposition could not resolve the matter. In this regard, he demanded a proper investigation of the incident and necessary legal action against the culprits. In this regard, today, July 20, at noon – the statement of the accused could not be obtained even after going to the spot.
