BNP Secretary General Thakurgaon-1 constituency MP candidate, pointing out that Jamaat-e-Islami is using religion. It is not right to use religion in politics. People of different religions and castes live here. That is why favoritism is being shown, he commented. He said that he wants to restore full democracy to work for the welfare of the people. He hopes to form a government through elections. Moreover, he wants to give people the right to speak. He said to the media, how many media outlets are there here and hundreds if you go to Dhaka. These were not there, during Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, they had the right to speak four. They were under their control. During Sheikh Hasina’s tenure, the freedom of the media and the rights of the common man were taken away. If I said anything, I would be filled with cases, attacks, troubles and jail. He said that this is my last election. After that, I will be old but I will not have that opportunity. So my appeal to everyone is to give me your valuable votes for the last time in the paddy sheaf mark and give me the opportunity to work on development.
