State Minister for the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Ishraq Hossain has congratulated and congratulated Speaker of the National Assembly Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and Bir Bikram on assuming the duties as Acting President.
Mahfuz Kabir Mukta, the State Minister’s Press Officer, gave this information in a press release on Friday (July 24).
In accordance with Article 50(3) of the Constitution, President Md. Shahabuddin sent his resignation letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly. Later, Speaker of the National Assembly Hafiz Uddin Ahmed assumed the duties as Acting President in accordance with Article 54 of the Constitution.
