Youth rescued from river in Khulna Body recovered in sack

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified man wrapped in a sack from the Kazibacha River in Batiaghata, Khulna. The body was recovered around 2:15 pm on Tuesday. However, the police could not identify him.
Naval Police Rupsha Outpost in-charge Abul Khair confirmed the recovery of the body wrapped in a sack.
Police and locals said that the locals became suspicious after seeing a full sack floating around 2:15 pm. Then a woman named Sanjida called the national emergency service number 999 and informed about the incident. Later, the emergency service number 999 informed the matter to Batiaghata police station. The police station informed the naval police about the matter.
Batiaghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mustafa Khairul Bashar confirmed the matter and said, “Locals informed the police station after seeing the body in a bag floating in the Tetultala area adjacent to Gate 10. Later, we informed the naval police about the matter. Since the body was found in the river, it is their matter to look into.”
Meanwhile, Abul Khair, in-charge of the Naval Police Rupsha outpost, said that after receiving the news, they reached the spot at around 3:20 pm. The body of a man was recovered from the sack. The body was swollen. It was not possible to identify him. However, an expert team from the PBI and CID has been summoned to the spot to identify the identity.
