Keeping in mind the theme of Climate Change, Today’s Steps, Tomorrow’s Security, a rally, discussion meeting and award distribution were held in Thakurgaon on the occasion of World Environment Day. On Thursday, a colorful rally was organized by the District Administration and the Department of Environment, which circled the Collector’s premises and finally met in the discussion meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rafiqul Haque. Additional Superintendent of Police Alamgir Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazmul Haque Sumon, Assistant Director of the District Environment Department Tamim Hasan, District Fire Service and Civil Defense Inspector Mozammel Haque and others spoke. Highlighting the importance of the day, he said that an important role must be played to restore a beautiful and peaceful environment to maintain the environmental balance of the district. Later, he gave away prizes to the winners of the drawing competition.
