The Veterinary Students Association’s Doa and Iftar Mahfil has been held.
This was organized on Monday, the 26th of Ramadan (March 16) afternoon at Ahnaf’s Kitchen Restaurant on Rajbari Road in Gazipur city.
Gazipur Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer and Gazipur Veterinary Students Association Chief Advisor Dr. Mohammad Shahin Mia was present as the chief guest at the event.
Gazipur Veterinary Students Association President Safi Bin Amjad Alvi presided over the event.
The event, moderated by the General Secretary of the Association, Md. Mehedi Hasan, was addressed by Dr. Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, Head of the Surgery Department of Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital and General Secretary of the Gazipur branch of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Professor Nazrul Islam, President of the Sammilit Peshajibi Parishad, Advocate Touhidul Islam Rony, General Secretary of Sadar Metro Thana BNP, Advocate Rezaul Karim Rubel, Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP), Advocate Abul Basar, Advocate Shishir Ahmed, Advocate Rabbi, Gazipur Sadar Secondary Education Officer Azizur Rahman Kiron, Upgradation Scientific Officer and Agriculturist Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Khan, Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman Mukul, Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, Assistant Professor of Tongi School and Girls College Latifa Parveen, Livestock Extension Officer Dr. Moss. Sharifa Khatun, etc.
At the moment before Iftar, a special prayer was conducted for the welfare of the country, nation and the entire Muslim Ummah by Dr. Mohammad Wasiul Hasan Wasif, former Assistant Research Officer of the Wildlife Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Control Project of the Bangladesh Forest Department and Consultant and Surgeon at Gazipur Pet Nest Vet Care Center.
Chief guest Gazipur Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Mohammad Shahin Mia said that 4 doctors should be appointed in all veterinary hospitals so that farmers can get medical facilities on an emergency basis 24 hours a day.
