Moulvibazar Correspondent: After 41 years, Rubel Mia, who went missing from Bangladesh, has been found in the city of “Gloucester” located in the southwest of England. He is the son of Haji Mustafa Mia of Mamrakpur village in Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila. According to local sources, in 1984, a British Bangladeshi husband and wife named Yusuf Mia and Fateha Begum (currently residing in Swindon Yulshehar) took Rubel Mia to London as their own child. Haji Mustafa Mia later brought his son Rubel back to Bangladesh in exchange for a house. But later he went to London again. Since then, no trace of him could be found. Rubel Mia is Yusuf Mia’s cousin. That is, he took his cousin to London as his son. Rubel’s family members are – 1-Shapla, 2- Ruma, 3- Tarek, 4-Rubel, 5- Rahel, 6- Suma, 7- Jhama, 8- Ima, 9- Sunny, 10- Sabbir. The 4 members of the British Bangladeshi couple Yusuf Mia and Fateha Begum (currently residing in Swindon Yulshehar) are – 1- Sammi, 2- Nimmi, 3- Ruhi, 4- Faiyum Mia. They were born in Sabai UK. A Bangladeshi British citizen living in London expressed his sadness and said – In this way, many children have been trafficked to Britain. Many of them are living a life of humanity, many are victims of inhuman torture by their adoptive parents and are humanly devastated. Some have grown up and are running their families by giving money to their real parents. They have bought land and houses. But in the last few years, the brothers and sisters living in the country have deprived them of their rights and property. Trafficked children are nothing but victims of deception from the beginning to the end of their lives. Rubel is one such child deprived of his fate.
