A.H. Liton Thakurgaon Correspondent : The July Uprising Day of 2026 was celebrated in Thakurgaon with due dignity and various arrangements. On Wednesday morning, the Deputy Commissioner, Police Administration, and officials of various departments, political party organizations, July fighters and other professional organizations paid their respects separately at the July Martyr Memorial Monument in the old bus stand area of ​​the city. At this time, a large rally with the participation of July fighters circled the main road and met at the July Memorial Monument. Keeping in mind the theme of “Building the country with the spirit of July, Bangladesh first”, the district administration organized a reception and discussion meeting for the families of July Martyrs and July fighters at the Mirza Ruhul Amin Millayatan in the city on the occasion of July Uprising Day. Paying deep respect to the memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the July Uprising, he said in his speech that it is necessary to give importance to the spirit of the July Uprising, the sacrifice of the martyrs, patriotism and the role of the youth. Finally, he distributed prizes among the winners of the students’ drawing, writing and recitation competitions. Officials of various levels, public representatives, July warriors and other dignitaries were present at the meeting. On the occasion of the July Uprising Day, Pirganj, Ranishankail, Haripur, Baliadangi, Ruhiya and Bhulli Upazila administrations celebrated the day with various programs. In addition, prayers were offered separately in various educational institutions including Sadar Upazila, remembering the martyrs of the July Uprising.
