A H Liton Thakurgaon Correspondent: Police have arrested 5 drug dealers along with 1415 pieces of Yaba in a separate anti-drug operation by Thakurgaon police station. Yaba tablets, a motorcycle and 65,200 taka in cash were recovered from them. On Tuesday night, June 9, 2026, several police teams led by the officer-in-charge of Ranishankail police station in the district conducted a surprise operation in Gogar intersection of Ranishankail upazila and Bhebra area of ​​Pirganj upazila and arrested the drug dealers. They are Imam Hossain (56), son of the deceased Peshar Uddin of Bhebra village in Pirganj upazila, Arman Hossain (32), son of the deceased Sheikh Ahmed Hossain of Raghunathpur village in Paur town, Parvez Hasan Raju (23), son of Abul Hossain of Bathapoligaon village, Tuhinur Rahman Sohel (32), son of Mohammad Ali Jinnah of the same area, and Masud Rana (39), son of the deceased Touhidul Haque of Uttar Bhandara village in Ranishankail upazila. According to the police, the raid was conducted based on secret information. A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, case number-9, dated 9/6/2026, at Ranishankail police station. In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aman Ullah Al Bari said that the regular raids of the police will continue to suppress drugs, terrorism and crime.
