However, he urged journalists to ensure the responsible use of that freedom, emphasizing that care must be taken so that no one’s character is defamed.He made these remarks as the chief guest during an exchange of views with journalists at the Bogra Press Club on Friday (June 12) at 11:00 AM. Prior to the meeting, he inspected the newly constructed building of the Press Club.Presided over by Bogra Press Club President RezaulHasanRanu and moderated by General Secretary Kalam Azad, the event was attended by M.R. Islam Swadhin, Administrator of Bogra City Corporation, as the special guest.Key Highlights of the State Minister’s SpeechThe State Minister mentioned that the Prime Minister wishes to establish a modern Bogra University outside the city in a peaceful, natural environment. Alongside general education, the university will feature faculties for agriculture, engineering, medicine, and science. A proposal to this effect will be presented to the Cabinet Division next week. Plans have been initiated to construct a multidimensional international airport in Bogra. The blueprint includes a pilot training center, international standard educational institutions, cargo facilities, infrastructure for operating fighter jets, and an air force base.An international standard football stadium will be built in Bogra, InshaAllah.Initiatives have been taken to form the Bogra Development Authority and BograWASA.TheSirajganj-Bogra railway construction project, estimated at around 12,500 crore BDT, will be presented for approval at the ECNEC meeting next week. Already, 2,200 crore BDT has been allocated for land acquisition. Regarding the relocation of the Bogra city railway line, he said that a metro-rail-style train will operate from Ranirhat through Bogra city to Gabtoli. Additionally, there are plans to upgrade the Gabtoli four-lane bypass, as well as the Bogra-Naogaon and Mokamtala-Joypurhat highways into six lanes. An allocation of 25 crore BDT has been granted for the development of the BograBaiturRahman Central Mosque.Addressing city development, the State Minister reassured residents, stating, “There is no reason for city dwellers to panic. Plans are being formulated to implement development without causing unnecessary demolitions in the city.”During the event, the State Minister announced a grant of 1 crore BDT on behalf of the Prime Minister for the development of the Bogra Press Club.Regarding the temporary brick-layering on the road in Gabtoli ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, he clarified that bricks were laid temporarily on the unpaved road solely for the safety and security of the Prime Minister’s movement. Since the road had already been approved for permanent paving, the bricks are now being removed, and the contractor has commenced the permanent construction work.
