Sri Lankan batsman Zenith Lienage played one of the best innings of his career. He fought alone in the whole match. In the last over of the innings showing a ‘one man show’, Taskin hit Ahmed for a boundary and took the first century of his career.

Sri Lanka got a fighting capital of 235 (all out) on the back of Lianag’s unbeaten 102-ball 101. In other words, to win, Bangladesh has to score 236 runs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and went to bat at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Monday. Taskin Ahmed’s brilliant bowling defeated the two openers by 15 runs. Taskin sent back the Lankan opener Pathum Nishanka, who had 1 run from 8 balls, trapped LBW on the third ball of the second over of the innings.

On the fourth ball of the innings and the fifth ball of his second over, Taskin made another opener Aviska Fernando caught behind the wicket by Mushfiqur Rahim.

After quickly losing 2 openers, Kushal Mendis and Sadira Samaravikrama were trying to bat with responsibility. Pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who returned to the team after one match, did not allow them to do that. A good length ball from the left-arm pacer hits the inside side of Samaravikrama’s bat and collects in Mushfiqur’s gloves. The Lankan top order returned with 14 runs off 15 balls.

Legspinner Rishad Hossain showed success after getting a chance in the team. Kushal Mendis, who settled on the pitch and scored 29 runs off 51 balls, was caught by Mushfiq. After that, Charith Asalanka (37 off 46), who was trying to catch the match, was caught by Mushfiq and took his second victim.

After Rishad, another spinner Mehdi Hasan Miraj has also seen success on this day. Mirage has taken two wickets in two consecutive overs.

Dunith Wallalage (1 off 18) was caught by Soumya Sarkar in the last ball of the 31st over for Mirage. The right-handed offspinner bowled Wanindu Hasaranga (8 balls 11) on the first ball of his next over.

Lianag scored a century against Bangladesh with 11 boundaries and 2 sixes. This Lankan batter is a fifty before this

Taskin took 3 wickets at the cost of 42 runs for Bangladesh. Mehdi and Mustafiz took 2 wickets each.
