Mymensingh Sadar Upazila Social Service Office bid farewell to outgoing Upazila Social Service Officer Maksuda Khatun and welcomed the newly-joined officer Md. Asaduzzaman Asad in an emotional atmosphere. At the end of the ceremony, the outgoing officer was bid farewell by his colleagues in the office by riding a rickshaw.
At the farewell and reception ceremony, the officers and employees of the Social Service Office were overcome with emotion as they remembered the outgoing officer.
Expressing their feelings, Md. Manjurul Haque, Senior Assistant Accountant of the Social Service Office, said, “I have worked with Sir for a long time. He is a very honest, skilled and talented person. He has always supported us like a guardian and cooperated with us in the workplace. We wish him success and longevity in his future life.”
Assistant Social Service Officer Md. Rina Khatun broke down in tears at the beginning of her speech. Recounting various memories of Maksuda Khatun’s work, he expressed deep gratitude to the outgoing officer and sought blessings from everyone.
In their speeches at the event, the social workers said, “Today we have lost a very responsible guardian. He always kept us safe with his wings. If there was any mistake in the work, we apologize. We will always remember this contribution of Sir.”
In the speech of the president at the event, the newly joined officer Md. Asaduzzaman said, “Today’s farewell ceremony proves how loyal and responsible you were to the outgoing officer. He has left this office with very skillful hands. I want to take forward these good works of his. Although he is new in the workplace, I seek the advice of the outgoing sir and the cooperation of all of you in running this office. I wish that his new workplace is happy and peaceful.”
Expressing her feelings, outgoing officer Maksuda Khatun said, “The way you have helped me, you will also help the new officer Asad. I took charge here during the difficult times of Corona and various disasters. But with your sincere support, I was able to complete the work successfully.”
Recalling the love of her colleagues during her illness, she further said, “I want to live among you as a good person. Even if the workplace changes, I will try to be there for you in any need. May you all be happy and peaceful with your families, this is my prayer.”
At the end of the ceremony, tearful colleagues gave an exceptional and memorable farewell to outgoing officer Maksuda Khatun by putting her in a rickshaw.
