Religious Affairs Minister Kaikobad strongly condemns attack on Shakib Hasan Khan, an AC Land official in Muradnagar

Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) has strongly condemned and protested the terrorist attack on Shakib Hasan Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Muradnagar Upazila in Comilla.
It is learned that Shakib Hasan Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Muradnagar Upazila, was attacked by miscreants in his area in Araihazar, Narayanganj district last night. A total of 6 people, including a woman, were seriously injured in the incident. The injured are currently being treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Expressing deep concern over the incident, Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) said,
“Such a heinous attack on a responsible, honest and dedicated administrative officer of the country is very worrying and sad. Ensuring the security of a government official is an important responsibility of the state. Such terrorist acts cannot be accepted in any way.”
He also said,
“I strongly condemn and protest this attack. At the same time, I strongly demand the relevant law enforcement agencies and administration to quickly identify all the criminals involved in this incident, bring them under the law and ensure exemplary punishment.”
Religious Affairs Minister Kaikobad wished the injured Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shakib Hasan Khan a speedy recovery and expressed deep condolences to his family. He also wished the others injured in the attack a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the incident has created extreme anger and concern among the local public. Conscious circles believe that such an attack on a government official is not only a matter of personal security, but also a major challenge to state administration and the law and order system.
