Sohel Ahad, Brahmanbaria : Following the instructions of the central BNP, Brahmanbaria district BNP has announced a seven-day mourning program following the death of former three-time Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The decision was made to complete the Quran, hold prayers at various mosques and distribute Tabarak in an emergency meeting held at his residence in Puniat on Tuesday, December 30 at 12 noon. District BNP President and Central BNP Economic Affairs Secretary Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal is delivering a directional speech at the emergency meeting.
District BNP General Secretary Haji Sirajul Islam, Ali Azam, Jasim Uddin Ripon, Asaduzzaman Shahin, Monir Hossain, Mainul Islam Chapal, Shamim Mollah and Yasin Mahmud, along with leaders of the district BNP’s affiliated organizations, were present at the time.
It is noteworthy that Begum Khaleda Zia breathed her last at Evercare Hospital at 6 am on Tuesday.
