‎In the joyous and festive atmosphere of Eid, a colorful ‘Eid Reunion and Cultural Evening’ was organized by the Pirojpur District Police with the police family and well-wishers. The event was held at the Pirojpur Police Lines on Saturday (June 20).
‎Barisal Range DIG Md. Mostafizur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event. Pirojpur-1 constituency MP Alhaj Masud Sayedee, District Council Administrator Principal Alamgir Hossain and Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) Barisal Range President Umme Hasnat Shahnaz participated as special guests. The event, chaired by Pirojpur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Manzur Ahmed Siddiqui, was attended by local dignitaries, freedom fighters, public representatives and journalists.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, DIG Barisal Range Md. Mostafizur Rahman said – in addition to performing the professional duties of the police, he emphasized on sharing moments of joy with family and society. He said, “There is no alternative to cultural programs and sports to build a healthy society. Such entertainment programs are very important for mental peace in the busy life of the police, which helps maintain the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the police members.”
He also praised the sports-friendly initiatives of the current government and mentioned that the active participation of the police from the grassroots level to the national level is brightening the image of the police.
At the end of the discussion meeting, police members and invited artists performed music in a pleasant cultural program. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the dinner, which turned into a joyful gathering with the participation of all present.
