According to the complaint, a class 10 student of Karimunnesa Secondary School, who was studying privately with Pirojpur Town Secondary School teacher Nirmal Chandra Bhadra, returned home on May 22 after coaching and complained to her family members about physical torture and molestation.
Later, the student’s father filed a written complaint with the school’s headmaster. At the same time, a copy of the complaint was also sent to the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, District Education Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

Meanwhile, students, guardians and local residents held a human chain and protest program in front of the school in protest of the complaint. The speakers said that educational institutions should be a safe place for students. If the complaint is found to be true, strict action will be taken against the accused.

However, the statement of the accused teacher Nirmal Chandra Bhadra was not available regarding the complaint. The school authorities also did not make any official comment on the matter.
