Students of the Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU) CSTE department have achieved the honor of becoming the top female team in the ‘AI Hackathon’ of CSE Carnival-2026, initiated by the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (Duet). On this occasion, the team members paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani, at his office today, Monday (29 June 2026). During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor highly appreciated the achievement of the female students of Noakhali University and congratulated the winners for achieving the honor of becoming the top female team in such a national level carnival. During the courtesy call, Chairman of the CSTE Department, Professor Dr. Nahid Akhter and Assistant Professor A.R.M. Mahmudul Hasan Rana were present. The members of the Top Female Team are Hasna Hena Jyoti, Tasnim Akhter Anika, students of the 2020-21 session of the Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering (CSTE) Department of NSTU, and Tanha Ahmed Bhuiyan, students of the 2022-23 session.
It is worth noting that more than 1,200 students from more than 100 universities of the country participated in this two-day event in collaboration with Duet Computer Society and Whiteboard Initiatives. By participating in the AI ​​Hackathon competition, the students showcased their skills, creativity, and innovative thinking.
