Noakhali Correspondent : The farewell reception for the 15th batch of Pharmacy Department students of Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Noakhali University of Science and Technology) was held today, Tuesday (July 14, 2026) at the Bir Shrestha Shahid Mohammad Ruhul Amin Auditorium of the university. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani, was present as the chief guest. In his speech as the chief guest, the Vice-Chancellor said that the word farewell naturally carries a kind of emotion, emptiness and pain. However, this farewell to academic life should not be considered as a final farewell, but rather as the beginning of a journey towards a new possibility, responsibility and success. Although it is a bit difficult to leave your beloved academic field, teachers and classmates, it is natural that that feeling will eventually transform into pride and joy through achieving success in your future career. In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor wished the graduates all-round success, prosperity and a bright future in their professional lives. At the same time, he mentioned that even though the formal farewell is being said today, the relationship between the outgoing students and NobiProb will never be severed. He expressed his hope that the NobiProbrob students, whether in the country or abroad, wherever they are in the world, will maintain regular contact with the university and contribute to the progress of the institution from their respective positions. In addition, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized on organizing at least one reunion every year at the initiative of the Alumni Association in order to strengthen the mutual spiritual bond between the former students of the university. The program was presided over by the Chairman of the Department, Professor Dr. Jamiuddin Ahmed, and the University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, NobiProbrob Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Sarkar, and Professor of the Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Mohammad Selim Hossain, spoke as special guests. It is worth noting that the Department of Pharmacy welcomed the newly appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, at the program. At this time, invited guests were presented with mementos and farewell mementos were handed over to the departing students. Teachers, students, and officials and employees of the Pharmacy Department were present at the event.
