The one-year full-fledged executive committee was formed unanimously by all members of the organization at a meeting held in the city’s Kacharighat area on Sunday (June 28) at 5 pm.
Other members of the committee are: Vice President Angor TV’s Salman Sadiq Shawon and Nagorik TV’s Farhad Ali Maya, Joint General Secretary Basakhi TV’s Kausar Ahmed and Kaler Kantho’s Aladin Sunny, Organizing Secretary Dhaka Today’s Fariduzzaman Shanto, Office Secretary Dhaka Post’s Sakhawat Sumon, Finance Secretary Daily Brahmaputra Express’s Sumon Ahmed, Publicity and Publication Secretary Kaler Kantho’s Mir Sabur Ahmed, Training and Research Secretary Kaler Kantho’s Tasnimul Islam Mubin, Information Technology and Multimedia Secretary Kaler Kantho’s Mazharul Islam Mishu, Welfare Secretary Barta24.com’s Tofail Ahmed, and Women’s Affairs Secretary Next Bangladesh News’ Suma Ghosh Monika.
The other executive members are Ariful Haque Arif and Zahirul Islam of Angor TV, Abdullah Al Fahad of Daily Kalbela, Anisur Rahman Anis of The Business Standard, and Roman Ahmed Naqib of Barta Bazar.
Newly elected president Raisul Islam Khan Anik said, “Our goal is to work together to enhance the professional skills of multimedia journalists, protect their rights, and build cordial relations. At the same time, as this is a new organization, we want to build it as an effective and responsible platform with the cooperation of all.”
General Secretary Zahidul Islam Jiban said, “We will try to work for the professional development, training, information exchange and welfare of journalists. Only then will I believe that the Multimedia Reporters Association will become a strong and active organization in Mymensingh.”
