Towhid Hossain Sarkar :  Professor Mujibur Rahman MP, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former central president of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation, said that in 54 years, the people of the country have experienced a history of deprivation, oppression and pain. The movement to get rid of this situation must continue.
He made these remarks while addressing the concluding session of the two-day ‘Leadership Training Camp-2026′ of the Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation at the Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital on Sunday (June 28).
He said, the true success of a believer’s life lies not in worldly wealth, but in achieving freedom from hell and attaining paradise. What a person enjoys in this world remains here; and what is spent in the way of Allah is stored for the Hereafter.
Referring to the speeches of members of parliament, he said that according to Islamic tradition, speeches should begin with praising Allah and sending blessings and peace upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), not by praising any individual or leader.
He said, a deep relationship with the Quran must be developed in every aspect of the individual, society and state. Real change is not possible unless the Quran is reflected in thought, consciousness and action. Allah Almighty has called upon people to think and research about the Quran. Those who think and research about the Quran and implement it in their lives are the truly successful.
Professor Mujibur Rahman said, “Labor and work increase the dignity of a person. Those who earn their living through their own hard work have the best income. The Prophet (peace be upon him) established the highest dignity of labor by kissing the hands of a working person that have become rough due to hard work. Therefore, he emphasized on organizing workers in every profession and forming effective committees.”
He said that wealthy people will face a difficult reckoning in the Hereafter. On the other hand, poor believers will have the opportunity to enter Paradise relatively quickly. However, no one can be successful without faith, five daily prayers, good deeds and a life of piety. Paradise is achieved through hardship and sacrifice, while Hell is surrounded by desires and desires.
He also said that visiting a sick person is an important teaching of Islam. It is stated in the Hadith that if a Muslim visits a sick person, Allah Almighty assigns seventy thousand angels to pray for him.
Referring to the political situation in the country, Professor Mujibur Rahman said, “For a long time, the people of the country have been victims of injustice, oppression and torture. With the help of God, in the last July Revolution, on August 5, the youth of the country jumped against injustice like a flock of birds, and the dictatorial rule came to an end through a mass uprising.”
He said, “The people’s right to vote and democracy must be respected. Appointing administrators without elections is against democratic practices and harmful to the country. The people want to see an accountable and elected government.”
He further said that the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was a shining example of struggle, sacrifice and duty. Therefore, it is the duty of a believer to fight against injustice and remain steadfast on the path of religion until death.
Addressing the leaders and activists, he said, “We must strengthen our relationship with Allah on the last night. We must pray and worship more. It is Allah who changes the hearts of people. From Teknaf to Tentulia, the people of the country are working in the hope of change. Insha Allah, the ideals of truth, justice and the Quran will one day prevail.”
Speaking as a special guest, ANM Shamsul Islam, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former central president of Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Federation, said, “The message of workers’ welfare must be delivered to the doorsteps of every worker in the country. There is no alternative to building a strong and effective trade union movement to establish the rights of workers, realize their just demands and ensure their dignity.”
He said, “We must work by considering the happiness and sorrow, problems and suffering of the workers as our own responsibility. We must lead a united movement and struggle to achieve their just rights.” He called on every leader and activist of the organization to stand by the workers, gain their trust and expand welfare activities.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Shahjahan said in his special guest speech that the ideological fight against shirk and distorted Islam must be strengthened. Various conspiracies have been being waged for a long time to keep people away from the true ideals of Islam. The spread of shrine-centered shirk and the spread of distorted Islam are part of that conspiracy. Some people wearing the garb of Islam are being used to create confusion about Islam, which is deviating the society from the right path.
He said, “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the best role model for all mankind. He has been declared as having the best character in the Holy Quran. He set the highest example of leadership, humility, submission, morality and responsibility.”
Maulana Shahjahan said that one of the conditions for complete surrender to Allah is constant fear of Allah, sincere worship, and a life free from arrogance. Those who fulfill the responsibility of leadership should model their lives on the ideals of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and become beacons of light for society.
He said, it is the duty of every responsible person to call people to goodness, advise them to do good deeds and implement the teachings of the Quran in their lives. The Prophet (peace be upon him) fulfilled the responsibility entrusted to him 100% and established the victory of religion through preparation, sacrifice and perseverance.
He further said, we need to develop a deep relationship with the Quran. Not just recitation, but also the teachings of the Quran must be implemented in personal, family and social life. The Prophet (PBUH) gave special importance to night prayers and developed ideal people in real life. Therefore, the workers must also be built on a strong creed and moral foundation. Otherwise, if there is moral deviation in the leadership, the organization will face major losses.
He said, Islam teaches moderation. A balanced life, avoiding excess, one-sidedness, narrow-mindedness and extremism, is the beauty of Islam. Moderation is a safe philosophy and a characteristic of the Muslim Ummah.
Maulana Shahjahan said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also a role model in family life. He helped his wives with household chores and won the hearts of people through humility, humility and good behavior. To maintain leadership, not only authority is essential, but also competence, skill, good behavior and forgiveness.
He said, “We must learn from our mistakes and treat people with kindness. We must be forgiving as per the instructions of the Holy Quran, pray for people, and avoid unnecessary arguments with the ignorant and move away with courtesy.”
He further said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave utmost importance to the suffering and needs of people. He even set an example by shortening the prayer upon hearing the cry of a child. Employees should never be treated harshly or harshly; rather, sincere relationships should be built through humility, modesty, greetings and handshakes.
He said, “We should give importance to the small deeds and actions of life. We should avoid useless words and actions. We should develop the habit of regular Qiyaam-ul-Layl and spend a certain amount of time for Allah. Real success is possible only through crying and praying to Allah in the solitude of the night.”
Finally, he said, “From personal life to political and organizational activities, the influence of morality must be established everywhere. Only then will ideal leadership be developed and positive changes will come to society.”
Further speeches were delivered under the chairmanship of Central President Advocate Atiqur Rahman.
Advocate Shahidul Islam Bhuiyan, General Manager of Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical and Lawyer of Bangladesh High Court Division,
Syed Sultan Uddin Ahmed, Head of Bangladesh Labor Reform Commission and Executive Director of BILS,
