SB-Sujon, Lalmonirhat :
Two youths were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat. Another person was injured in the incident. The accident occurred on Sunday (August 24) evening in the Mokaddesnagar area of Saniajan union of the upazila.
The deceased are Sabuj (26) of Nayankhola Dangarhat area of Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari district and Fahim of the same area. The injured Sohag (27) is currently undergoing treatment at Hatibandha Upazila Health Complex.
Locals said that a motorcycle heading towards Barakhata from Doani Bridge area collided head-on with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. In this, one motorcycle lost control and hit a tree on the side of the road, killing Sabuj and Fahim on the spot. The seriously injured Sohag was rescued by locals and admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
Upon receiving the information, Hatibandha Highway Police reached the spot and recovered the bodies. Hatibandha Highway Police In-charge (OC) said, “The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their relatives after completing the legal process.”
