Joypurhat Correspondent : A child named Hamim (3) tragically died after being crushed under the wheels of a picnic bus in Panchbibi, Joypurhat on June 4, 26.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 am on Thursday (June 04) in the Dargapara (North Nawda) area of ​​the Panchbibi-Hili road of the upazila. The deceased Hamim is the son of Md. Shafiqul Islam of Dargapara village.
Police and locals said that Hamim’s father Shafiqul Islam had left his house to dry paddy in the morning and was crossing the Panchbibi-Hili road towards the courtyard on the west side when child Hamim also came behind his father. At that time, the road was empty and an unknown picnic bus coming from the direction of Panchbibi ran over child Hamim, who died on the spot. However, no one could identify the bus as it ran over the child and fled at high speed. The tragic death of child Hamim cast a shadow of grief over the area.
Panchbibi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hafiz Md. Raihan said that police were sent to the spot after receiving the news. The police are working to identify the unidentified bus. Necessary legal action is being taken in this accident.
