Jamaat’s Women’s Division holds discussion meeting on occasion of second anniversary of July Uprising

​Mirsarai Correspondent : To mark the 2nd anniversary of the historic July Mass Uprising, a discussion meeting and prayer session were organized by the Mirsarai Upazila Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The event took place yesterday at the upazila Jamaat-e-Islami office.
​Presided over by Upazila Women’s Wing Secretary Tanjina Akter Lipi and moderated by Literature and Cultural Affairs Secretary Shilpi Shimu, the event featured Shamsunnahar Begum MP (Reserved Seat 43)—backed by the 11-party alliance and nominated by Jamaat-e-Islami—as the chief guest.
​Majlis-e-Shura member and Chittagong North District Assistant Secretary Lutfur Nahar, alongside Thana Talimul Quran Affairs Secretary Zubaida Joba, addressed the program as special guests. Human Resource Affairs Secretary Zubaida Joba and leaders from various levels of the upazila and local women’s wings were also present.
​The speakers urged women to play a united role in building a prosperous Bangladesh by upholding the spirit of the July Uprising. Following the discussion, a special supplication (doa) was offered seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs and a speedy recovery for those injured in the uprising.
