Farmers’ rally of Centenary Office in Kaptai, informing about farmer card and canal excavation program

As part of the implementation of the election manifesto of the current government, a farmers’ rally was held in Kaptai, Rangamati with more than a hundred farmers to inform marginal farmers about the distribution of farmer cards, agricultural loan waiver and canal excavation program.
The rally was organized by the Kaptai Information Office at 11 am on Thursday (April 30) at the Kaptai Horticulture Center conference room. Upazila Executive Officer Ruhul Amin spoke as the chief guest. He said that the government has started the distribution of farmer cards among farmers immediately after assuming office, which is a groundbreaking initiative. In addition, agricultural development and irrigation facilities are being increased at the grassroots level through the canal excavation program. Assistant Information Officer Delwar Hossain presided over the rally. Former Upazila Chairman Dildar Hossain and Upazila Agriculture Officer Ahsan Habib spoke as special guests. Rangamati District BNP Vice President Dr. Rahmat Ullah, Upazila Horticulturist Rakib Jobayer, Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officer of the Agriculture Department and local farmers were present at the event. Before the rally began, a documentary on the same topic was shown.
