Village Doctors Welfare Association holds meeting in Bahadurpur to improve rural healthcare

A meeting was held at the initiative of Bangladesh Village Doctors (Welfare) Association, Bahadurpur Union Branch, to improve the quality of rural healthcare and increase public awareness in Bahadurpur Union of Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari.
The meeting was held on Saturday (June 20) at around 12 noon with the participation of pharmacy owners from various markets of the union and people related to healthcare.
The meeting was presided over by Bangladesh Village Doctors (Welfare) Association, Bahadurpur Union Branch President and Director of Sheba Clinic Dr. Abdul Latif.
The meeting was attended by Master Pharmacy owner Liton Mollah, Bhai Bhai Pharmacy owner Shahid Mollah, Mallik Pharmacy owner Selim Mallik, Raifa Pharmacy owner Rafiqul Islam, and various pharmacy owners and representatives of the union.
The meeting discussed in detail the issues of ensuring quality healthcare for the rural population, providing proper medical advice and medicines to patients, maintaining ethics in healthcare and making pharmacy management more effective.
The speakers said that village doctors and pharmacies play an important role in providing primary healthcare to the common people in the villages. Therefore, to maintain the trust of the people, it is necessary to improve the quality of services, increase awareness and ensure responsible healthcare provision.
At the end of the meeting, the pharmacy owners and village doctors present expressed their determination to work together for the development of healthcare and the welfare of the people.
