Md. Milan Raihan,Joypurhat Correspondent: The champion team of the 25th Joypurhat District Commissioner Cup Football Tournament was felicitated on August 24. The municipality organized the reception at the hall of Joypurhat Municipality on Sunday (August 24) afternoon.
The event was presided over by the Municipality Administrator and Additional District Administrator Sabur Ali. District BNP convener Golzar Hossain, Civil Surgeon Representative Dr. Ataur Rahman, Joypurhat Press Club President Abu Bakar Siddique, Football Coach SM Sumon, Joypurhat Municipality winning football team captain Mukul Hossain, players and municipality officials were present.
The District Commissioner Cup Football Tournament began at Joypurhat Stadium on July 30. A total of eight teams in two groups participated in the tournament. Joypurhat Municipality defeated Panchbibi Upazila team in the final on August 15 to become the champion.
