Discussion meeting held in Gazipur on what scholars should do to prevent the mischief of deviant groups

Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, Gazipur District Correspondent: A huge “discussion meeting” has been held in Gazipur to counter the mischief of various deviant groups and the fear of confusion in the faith and beliefs of the common people.

The meeting organized by the Sammilit Ulama Parishad was held on Saturday (May 16) afternoon at the Bangataj Auditorium in Rathkhola, Gazipur city.

The meeting was presided over by Principal Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, a prominent Pir of Deona, Kapasia.

Gazipur City Corporation Administrator Md. Shawkat Hossain Sarkar spoke as the chief guest.

The program was addressed by Allama Ashek Mustafa, Mufti Masudul Karim, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, Maulana Abu Bakr Tamim, Maulana Abdul Mannan Badri, Maulana Iqbal Masum, Maulana Gazi Al Mahmud, Maulana Farid Uddin Rahmani, Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Maruf, Mufti Nizam Uddin, Maulana Gazi Ruhul Amin, Mufti Lehaz Uddin Bhuiyan, Mufti Nurul Islam, Maulana Kazi Moin Uddin, Maulana Abdur Rahim Al-Madani, Mufti Nasiruddin Khan, Maulana Nazrul Islam, Maulana Masudur Rahman, Maulana Jamal Uddin, Maulana Tariqul Islam, Maulana Khandaker Shamsuddin, Maulana Mubarak Hossain and others. Leading Ulama-e-Karam of Gazipur including Maulana Hedayatullah.

The chief guest said that everyone must play a responsible role in preventing extremist and misleading activities to maintain religious harmony and social stability.

The speakers said that this event has been organized with the aim of uniting the scholarly community to prevent the spread of misleading doctrines, religious misinterpretations and wrong ideas in the society.

The speakers called for taking necessary measures against various statements and publications of Hizbut Tawhid, claiming that they are anti-Islamic and misleading. At the same time, they called on everyone to remain united in establishing a society based on the Quran and Sunnah while maintaining religious harmony.
