Md. Nur Islam Nayan, Dinajpur Correspondent: On the occasion of July Uprising Day-2026, a discussion meeting, prayer meeting, honors and prize distribution among the winners of various competitions were organized by Dinajpur Adarsh College.
The event was organized by Adarsh College Student Welfare Association at 12 noon on Wednesday (August 5) in the college auditorium.
The discussion meeting held under the chairmanship of the acting principal of the college, Mosha. Hasina Akhter Banu, was addressed as the chief guest by Advocate Abul A’la Mahbubur Rahman Bhutto, President of the Adarsh College Governing Body and General Secretary of the District Bar Association.
Professor Abu Saleh Md. Ibrahim, an enthusiastic member of the Adarsh College Governing Body, spoke as the special guest.
Md., Lecturer of the Botany Department of the college. Harunur Rashid Ujjal acted as the moderator of the program.
The discussion meeting was also addressed by Assistant Professor of Islamic History and Culture Department Md. Mehrab Ali, Assistant Professor of Bengali Department Jasim Uddin, Head of Department of Political Science Department and Convener of Student Welfare Association Lecturer Dr. Zulaikha Gulshan Ara.
The chief guest Advocate Abul A’la Mahbubur Rahman Bhutto said, “Until the July Charter is incorporated into the constitution, the movement will have to continue. If the July Charter is implemented, peace, stability and democratic progress in the country will be further strengthened and the country will move forward on the path of prosperity.”
The program was attended by Assistant Professors of the college Md. Ashraf Ali, Md. Ahsan Habib, Anwar Hossain, Md. Anwarul Islam, Abdullah Al Mamun, Md. Hanifur Rahman, Rupa Rani Das, Jewel Rahman, Sajmin Sultana, Rezwana Nahar, Md. Mahmudul Haque, Rabiul Islam, teachers, officials and students were present.
At the end of the discussion meeting, the chief guest and the invited guests were given honorary crests. Later, the guests presented prizes to the winners of the essay, recitation and painting competitions organized on the occasion of the July Mass Uprising Day.
Finally, a special prayer was held to pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs of July and the speedy recovery of the injured July fighters. The prayer was conducted by Assistant Professor of the Bengali Department of the college, Md. Yar Ali.
