Dinajpur District Administration Organizes International Literacy Day Celebration

Dinajpur District Administration and District Non-Formal Education Bureau organized International Literacy Day-2025 celebration.
On this occasion, on Monday, September 8, at 10 am, a colorful rally started from the Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner’s office and after parading the main roads of the city, went to the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room and met for a discussion meeting.
In the second part of the discussion, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam, speaking as the chief guest, said that students should be taught humanity outside of education. Even if they study less, they should practice more. There is a difference between wisdom and talent, we have to be wise. We have to work more on education. In a word, if we want to reduce the literacy rate, everyone has to come forward together.
The event was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) S.M Habibul Hasan, and was attended by Assistant Director of the District Non-Formal Education Bureau Dinajpur Md. Rezwan Asif, District Education Officer Khandaker Alauddin Al Azad, Assistant District Primary Education Officer Afroza Jasmine, Headmaster of Dinajpur District School Md. Abul Kashem, Assistant Teacher Md. Hannan Mia, Lecturer of Chehelgazi School and College Yuthika Rani Roy, and others.
In addition, Md. Shihan, a seventh-grade student of the District School, and Raita Hasan Shaon, a student of Collegiate School and College, participated in the instant quiz and won.
Sadar Upazila Non-Formal Education Officer Md. Golap Hossain, along with teachers and students of various schools and colleges were present at the time.
