On Tuesday (December 23) afternoon, the battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kazi Mustafizur Rahman, confirmed this information at a press conference at the headquarters of the Chapainawabganj Battalion (53 BGB). On Tuesday around 11:30 am, while conducting an operation based on intelligence information in the Raghabbati area of ​​Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district, a suspicious person, sensing the presence of the BGB, left his bag and fled towards the border. Later, a search was conducted and
2 foreign pistols, 4 magazines and 5 rounds of bullets wrapped in black polythene were seized.
On December 15 of this month (53 BGB), 4 foreign pistols, 9 magazines and 24 rounds of bullets were recovered in a separate operation.
