Bangladesh Journalists’ Unity Council (BJEC) organized an Iftar-Seheri-Doa Mahfil and distribution of Eid food items at the Tejgaon Government Children’s Home Auditorium Hall Room in the capital on Wednesday afternoon. The Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services, Belal Hossain, was the chief guest at the event.
Sabbir Ahmed Rony, founding chairman of BJUC and advisory editor of Dainik Swadesh Bichitra, inaugurated the event.
The event was presided over by BJUC Executive President Kabi Raju Alim and special guests included Mir Abdul Alim, permanent member of the National Press Club, Dr. Afroza Parveen, Executive Director of Nari Unnayan Shakti, Kabi Ashok Dhar, Secretary General of Television Journalists Association of Bangladesh, Moinur Rashid Chowdhury, Secretary General of International Human Rights Organization, Advocate Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Robi, Associate General Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Farmers’ Party, Haji Monir Hossain, Life Member of BJEEC and Member of Bishwa Ijtema Organizing Committee, Riazuddin Ahmed, Editor and Publisher of Human Rights News Newspaper.
