Daudkandi (Comilla) Correspondent: In a separate operation, the Daudkandi Model Police Station in Comilla arrested a drug dealer and two accused with warrants along with 70,000 pieces of yaba tablets and a Toyota private car. A total of three people have been arrested in this incident.
Under the overall guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Comilla District and Assistant Superintendent of Police, Daudkandi Circle and under the instructions of Daudkandi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Sajedul Islam, SI (retd) Arifur Rahman was performing special duties in the police station area along with the Sangyi Force.
Police said that at 1:45 am on July 24, 2026, a check post was conducted on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway, about 100 yards west of the Daudkandi-Meghna-Gomti Toll Plaza in the South Satanandi area of ​​Daudkandi Municipality. At that time, a person named Md. Rubel (29) was arrested with 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablets. He is a resident of Geneva Camp area of ​​Mohammadpur, Dhaka. At that time, a blue Toyota private car used for drug transportation was also seized. The registration number of the car is Dhaka Metro-G-31-7518.
Meanwhile, ASI (Unarmed) Shyamal Sharma along with his forces conducted a drive and arrested the accused Halim Mollah (56) from Dhaneshwar area of ​​Daudkandi on the night of July 25.
On the other hand, ASI (Unarmed) Sanjay Kumar along with his team conducted a raid and arrested the accused Md. Gias Uddin (50) from Daulatpur area on the same night.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested. In addition, Md. Rubel, who was arrested in the Yaba case, has been sent to the learned court on a 7-day police remand application.
