Based on secret information, RAB-13 has arrested two people with 353 bottles of phensedyl and 23,700 taka in cash for drug sales in Thakurgaon.
On Tuesday (July 21, 2026), on the basis of secret information, a team of RAB-13, CPC-1, Dinajpur Camp conducted the operation in Purbaparpugi village of Jamalpur Union No. 10 of Sadar Upazila. At that time, Md. Korban Ali (41), son of the deceased Abul Khair, and his wife Md. Jasmine Khatun (27) of Purbaparpugi village were arrested.
Based on information from RAB, it is known that during the operation, they searched Korban Ali’s house and recovered 183 bottles of Phensedyl, 157 bottles of Escaf, 13 bottles of MKDyl, and a total of 353 bottles of Phensedyl drugs and seized 23,700 taka worth of drugs.
During the initial interrogation, the arrested admitted to being professional drug dealers and said that they had been supplying and selling these drugs in different districts of Thakurgaon-Rangpur divisions.
In this incident, RAB has filed a case against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act. The accused have been handed over to the concerned police station along with the recovered evidence for further legal action.
RAB-13 said that their intelligence surveillance and special operations will continue to implement the government’s zero tolerance policy against drugs.
