National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign Inaugurated in Dinajpur Municipality

The National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign has been officially inaugurated in Dinajpur Municipality with the aim of preventing malnutrition, increasing immunity and ensuring good health of children.

Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony organized on Sunday (June 28, 2026).

Speakers at the inaugural ceremony said that Vitamin ‘A’ plays an important role in the healthy growth and development of children. It is possible to prevent various complications due to malnutrition by feeding Vitamin ‘A’ capsules to every child of the prescribed age. Therefore, to make this national program successful, all concerned as well as guardians must play a conscious role.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam told the guardians that the national program should be made successful by taking children to designated centers and feeding them Vitamin ‘A’ capsules for free. Everyone’s active participation is required in the government’s public health program to build a healthy, strong and talented generation.

Health department officials, public representatives, concerned officials and employees of the municipality and people from different classes and professions were present at the event.

According to the health department sources, free vitamin ‘A’ capsules are being fed to children of specified age under the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign. The concerned expressed hope that this program will play an important role in protecting children’s eyesight, increasing their immunity and preventing malnutrition.
