The Green Climate Fund (GCF) Regional Team completed its official mission in Bangladesh from June 6–12. As the funding agency for LGED’s Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming (CRIMP) Project and Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CRLIC), the team held meetings with government ministries, agencies, and the Satkhira district administration to discuss climate financing, project development, pipeline expansion, and future collaboration.
Led by Ms. Dianne Jegam, GCF Regional Manager, and Dr. Bapon Fakhruddin, Climate Investment Principal, the delegation also visited GCF-funded project sites in Satkhira on June 9–10. The team observed coastal climate adaptation initiatives, livelihood development activities, and disaster-resilient infrastructure projects.
Senior officials from ERD, LGED, KfW, local government institutions, and the district administration accompanied the delegation during the visit.
