Md. Anisur Rahman Shelly : A new executive committee for 2026-2028 of the Kalihati Reporters Unity, an organization of journalists working in Kalihati Upazila of Tangail, has been formed. Anisur Rahman Shelly has been unanimously elected as the president and Monir Hossain as the general secretary.
​The new committee was announced at a general meeting held at the temporary office of Kalihati Reporters Unity at 11 am on Saturday (June 13).
Other responsible persons of the newly formed committee are, Vice President Sumon Chandra Ghosh, Shariful Islam Mahfuz, Joint General Secretary Saiful Islam Sabuj, Nehal Khan, Organizing Secretary Selim Reza Swadhin, Finance Secretary Nahid Khan, Office Secretary Debashish Karmakar, Sports Secretary Saidur Rahman Sameer, Publicity and Publication Secretary Momin Hossain, Literary and Cultural Affairs Secretary Sadiat Hossain Sadi.

Speakers at the meeting said that Kalihati Reporters Unity has always played a leading role in realizing the rights of people from all walks of life in Kalihati Upazila and practicing objective journalism. Under the leadership of this new committee, the activities of the organization will be more dynamic and accelerated.
Meanwhile, as news of the formation of the new committee spread, leaders of various social, political and cultural organizations in Kalihati extended their warmest greetings and congratulations to the newly elected committee president, general secretary and all members.
The newly elected president Anisur Rahman Shelly and general secretary Monir Hossain sought everyone’s cooperation in improving the professional standards of journalists and providing objective news for the overall development of the area.
