​Mirsarai Correspondent : Police detained 10 youths for suspicious movement late at night in the Zorarganj police station area of Mirsarai, Chattogram. They were later shown arrested under Section 151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) as a preventive measure and forwarded to the court today (June 4).
​According to police and local sources, a team led by Zorarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdul Halim, under the supervision and guidance of Assistant Superintendent of Police (Mirsarai Circle) Nadim Haidar Chowdhury, was on a special night patrol duty. Around 3:35 AM, locals spotted the 10 individuals moving suspiciously on the Economic Zone Nirpon Super Tech road in Ichakhali Union (No. 6). With the assistance of the locals, police detained them and brought them to the station.
​The Detainees Are:
​From Char Jabbar, Noakhali: Abdur Rahman (18), Md. Nur Alam (45), Nur Hossain (22), Shakil (22), Md. Nizam (26), Mohabbat (19), and Md. Ripon (24).
​From Basurhat, Noakhali: Kabir Ahammad (42) and Md. Rakib (19).
​From Char Ruhita, Lakshmipur: Nur Alam (27).
​Zorarganj police stated that the detainees underwent primary interrogation. However, local investigations did not find any involvement in crimes like theft or robbery. They were arrested under Section 151 of the CrPC and forwarded to the court as a preventive measure to ensure no untoward incidents or crimes occur in the area.
​Police emphasized that such operations and night patrols will continue to curb crime and maintain law and order. They also thanked the local public for cooperating by providing timely information regarding suspicious activities
