Daughter in law sent to jail for filing false sexual assault case against father-in-law in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi

A court has sent a daughter-in-law to jail for filing a false sexual assault case against her father-in-law in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi. The father-in-law has been released on bail in this incident.

Judge HM Kabir Hossain of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Jhalakathi passed this order on Monday, May 18 afternoon. General Registration Officer (GRO) of the Nalchiti Court, Enamul Haque, confirmed the matter.

According to court sources, 65-year-old Nurul Islam alias Nuru Sardar was arrested from Ishwarkati village of Bhairabpasha Union of Nalchiti Upazila on Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting his daughter-in-law. He is a resident of Ishwarkati village. Earlier, on the night of May 12, the daughter-in-law filed a sexual assault case against her father-in-law on the charge of sexual assault. On Monday, the court sent the daughter-in-law to jail in the presence of both parties and ordered the father-in-law to be released on bail.

The daughter-in-law mentioned in the case that on the night of May 12, the housewife was sleeping in a separate room from her husband because she was suffering from chickenpox. Taking this opportunity, he entered her father-in-law’s house and sexually assaulted her.

The defendant’s lawyer Akkas Sikder said that since the allegations were proven to be false, the court sent the plaintiff to jail and granted bail to the accused.
