Md. Milan Raihan, Joypurhat District Correspondent : Today 11 April 26 After killing his ex-wife Ashura in Joypurhat, her ex-husband dumped her body in a paddy field. Police have arrested the killer, Bablu Mondal, in this incident. The body was recovered from a paddy field near Sutar Guchchagram in Khetlal Upazila.
Police and locals said that Bablu, son of Mofazzal Mof of Sutar village, had three wives, of which Ashura was the third. After the divorce, Ashura filed a case of women and child abuse and dowry in the court, which is currently pending. On the day of the incident, Bablu roamed around with his ex-wife Ashura throughout the day. It is believed that he killed Ashura that day and dumped her body in a paddy field. Later, when locals saw the body and informed the police, the police went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the Joypurhat General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police have arrested the killer, Bablu Mondal, in this incident.
Khetlal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mokhlesur Rahman said, Bablu has been arrested in this incident. The body has been sent to the Joypurhat Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Initially, the sit-in is being held due to a family dispute. The investigation is underway and the real incident will be found after the investigation.
