March 30, 23rd With the aim of building an unemployment-free smart Joypurhat, a discussion meeting was held with the Whip of the National Assembly, Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan MP, with the foreign exchange earners through the outsourcing work of the district. This exchange meeting was held at District Shilpakala Academy on Thursday (March 30) around 1 pm organized by the district administration. Acting Deputy Commissioner Mohiuddin Jahangir presided over the meeting and Jatiya Sangsad Whip and A’League Organizing Secretary Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan MP spoke as the chief guest. He said, in the next three years, a plan has been taken to create 50,000 outsourced people in Joypurhat district. It seems like a nightmare to many but it will be implemented. He also said that there were many illiterate people, didn’t they participate in the liberation war, didn’t they make this country independent, didn’t this country stand tall as the 35th economy in the world, then our country will be the 20th economy in the world by 2037. Do not stand! Whip Swapan said, in 1972 our per capita income was only 98 US dollars. Even in 2008 our per capita income was only 537 USD. Today’s per capita income in 2023 is $2850. Once upon a time the daily income of a day laborer was only one ser of rice and two taka and one panta of rice. Today in Joypurhat, any day laborer is available under seven hundred taka! He also said that those who are earning foreign currency sitting in the country should be saluted as children of the sun. Our golden boys who are you, are now experts in outsourcing. We look forward to your cooperation. You are earning, and if your brother or sister or a person from the union can learn this job, then what will take away your income? Your income will not decrease. So you and I will all embark on a noble cause and teach people the work. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Anwar Parvez, Additional District Magistrate Abul Kalam Azad, District Awami League General Secretary Zakir Hossain, Upazila Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Salam Akand and Monirul Shahid Munna, Panchbibi Municipality Mayor Habibur Rahman and others were also present.
