International Desk: The US and Israel have attacked a university in the Iranian capital Tehran. Iranian media reported on Saturday that the Tehran University of Science and Technology was the target of a US-Israeli attack.
The Mehr News Agency reported that the university was attacked. However, no official statement was made about casualties or damage in the attack.
The Israeli army had previously announced that it had launched a new attack on Tehran as part of a joint operation with the US.
Earlier, on March 23, Saeed Shemqadri, a teacher in the electrical engineering department at the university, was killed in a US-Israeli attack in his home.
The US and Israel have been carrying out airstrikes against Iran for almost a month. More than 1,340 people have been killed, including the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated by launching drone and missile attacks on Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military equipment, causing casualties and damaging infrastructure, and disrupting global markets and air traffic.
